Last night I attended the IYDU launch which was held at Australia House, down on Aldwych / The Strand. It was fantastic to see so many people there from a number of different countries: Georgia, US, Sweden, Australia to name just a few. The party was still in full swing when I headed off early at about 8.30pm for a well deserved early night.
David Cameron gave a speech indicating the five things that he thought was important for renewing Conservative parties. These included embracing new technology, leading on issues, the environment, amongst others. The delegates seemed in good spirits, and looking forward to a number of exciting trips and events to come. I understand that they are visiting Parliament this afternoon with Greg Hands MP. There are also discussion on Zimbabwe and Belarus (two of the Freedom Forum countries).
