Saracens Tame Tigers

For those of you that don't know, I am a big fan of Saracens rugby club, and a previous season ticket holder. I also have a lot of friends who are Leicester Tigers fans! I was therefore doubly pleased to see Saracens hold out with a win against Leicester today.

Saracens despite being ahead at half time 19 points to 6, managed to drop the lead to 22-16. When Leon Lloyd was sinbinned, we conceded the 10 points. That being said Leicester are so used to having a player sin binned, that they seem to play much better with 14 men. With Leicester piling on the pressure in the final minutes, Saracens gave away a number of penalties. Leicester's tap and go nearly paid off, but referee Roy Maybank judged that the ball was held up, and blew the final whistle. Relief was probably the best word to describe the Saracens' fans feelings.
